    Inverted Gear Bamboo Gi Review

    Pros:

    Cons:

    • Durable
    • Lightweight
    • Soft
    • Ripstop pants
    • Cute logo
    • Price
    • Minimal designs
    • Thin collar

The Inverted Gear Bamboo Bjj gi is a mix between comfort, durability and minimal design. Inverted Gear’s bjj gi is perfect for the chill bjj player looking for something a bit different while stylish contrast stitching and cute embroidery.

The Gi consists of durable 550 gram pearl weave jacket and very lightweight but sturdy 12 oz.  rip-stop pants. Another really nice surprise is that the package also includes a custom bag which is big enough for your Inverted Gear BJJ Kimono and other gear to fit in there without having any origami skills, as other kimono bags require. The BJJ belt also can be used as a shoulder sling, How cool is that?

The Gi has its logo stamped on its both hands of the jacket.  Even from the first glance Inverted Gear Gi logo will create a cute impression because the logo is a panda! Yes it's a panda! The logo is cute but it also looks sharp with the contrast stitching.

Inverted Gear Bamboo Gi: Comfort, Durability and Minimal Design

    Quality

The Jacket of this Gi is a pearl weave material combined with ripstop fabric covering the collar. The collar is quite sturdy. The armpits of the top are reinforced with pearl weave fabric. The pants are 12 oz ripstop aslo with knee reinforcement and a pearl weave crotch. The drawstring is a cord as opposed to a flat piece of ripstop Gi material. It's preferable the cord over the Gi material for one simple reason: it stays tied better.

    Comfort & Fit

Inverted Gear Bamboo Gi is known for its softness, comfort and attention to detail. This BJJ kimono has a seam tape on the inside of the jacket and sleeve cuffs which is a nice touch that keeps the outside of the Gi plain.
There's nothing fancy about this Gi which is of course amazing. Inverted Gear’s Bamboo bjj gi emphases comfort. It's flashy, basic and simple and extremely light.

The front of the pants have a double layer protection which makes the GI solid and long-lasting.

As you may know most of the Gi's have 2-6 belt loops in the pants, but Inverted Gear has 4  loops on each side: a long rectangular protector, two loops close to each other and another separate loop which is near the center. Due to having 8 loops the pants rarely come untied or undone. This is one of the features that makes Inverted Gear Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi so unique.

Inverted Gear Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi has all the possible sizes. This Gi is designed so well it just fits you perfectly. All you need to do is to choose the best size for you. To help you out, here's a nice sizing chart:

    Care

Always be sure  to wash in cold water and hang dry. This will prevent shrinkage.  We don't advise you to do this tip but if you intentionally want the Gi to shrink you can wash it in hot water and put it in the dryer.

    Brand

Inverted Gear was established fairly recently back in 2012. However, their gi’s managed to become very popular. Also, these gi’s have been appearing across many international Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions. This Gi usually comes in 3 different colors that are blue, black and white combined with different Inverted Gear colored logos on them: blue, purple, orange, black and not only.
